Common questions

Do I need to install software on every computer?

No. TechSavve is agentless. One collector per site does the work.

Can customers log in?

Yes, including from a phone. Customer roles see only their own tenant.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on the number of devices and services. Contact us for a custom quote.

Is it hosted or self-hosted?

Both. Run it yourself on your own Windows or Linux machine so your data stays with you, or we can host it for you. Download it or contact us for a quote.

Is there a free trial?

Yes: 30 days, free, with no sign-up form. Download it and install it. The trial allows up to 100 managed devices, 100 monitors, 2 customer tenants, 4 sites and 5 staff users. After the 30 days everything locks until a license is activated, and nothing is deleted.

Does it work on a network with no internet?

Yes. The installer needs no internet connection, and licenses can be activated with an offline key.

Does it support two-factor sign-in?

Yes: authenticator-app codes for local accounts, plus Microsoft Entra ID with Conditional Access.

Do we have to add every virtual machine by hand?

No. Add the vCenter, ESXi, Hyper-V, Proxmox or KVM host and every host and running virtual machine is found and monitored, with its networks and storage documented.

Can it work with the ticketing system we already use?

Yes. TechSavve keeps its own tickets and can mirror them both ways to Jira Cloud, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Freshservice, ConnectWise Manage, Autotask or HaloPSA.

Can we keep using our Nagios checks?

Yes. Install the plugins next to the site collector and add them as monitors by name. Their results raise alerts and their performance data is graphed.

What if a collector update breaks something?

TechSavve watches the first hour after an update. If collection gets worse, the previous version is put back automatically and your administrators are emailed. You can also try a new version on a few collectors first, or hold it.
